Distance Learning Site

Didactic (lecture) instruction in the Lane Community College Dental Hygiene Program is provided to all program students using the Moodle learning management system. Clinical instruction is provided at the LCC main campus clinic and one distance location. On campus weekly classroom seminars are also held at all clinical sites by lead clinical faculty. Laboratory facilities are also available for all students within the clinical facilities.

Lane Community College has partnered with Lewis-Clark State College to provide a six- student instructional site on the LCSC campus in Lewiston, Idaho, which began accepting students Fall 2008. The Whittman building on the main campus provides a clinical and laboratory facility. Six students per year are accepted at this site. The selective admission program application information can be found at Lewis-Clark State College home page.

This NPDHS distance learning Dental Hygiene Program project is funded in part by a grant awarded under the President's Community-Based Job Training Grants, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration.
