Information for Students - Clubs

Green Chemistry Club:  The Green Chemistry Club works to educate the community on green chemistry and to promote sustainability. Community service projects include chemistry presentations in elementary schools, soil and water testing, and building a small biodiesel plant on campus. The Green Chemistry Club - "saving the world one reaction at a time." Stop by the Science Office in Building 16 for more information.  Faculty advisor:  John Thompson.

Learning Garden Club:  The Learning Garden Club is a student group dedicated to growing organic food on campus. The group focuses on educating fellow students about the value of local, sustainable food systems. The garden is designed as a living laboratory that demonstrates the connections within human and natural systems. Students strive to help people understand how their food choices can impact their personal health, environmental integrity and the well-being of the community. The club has established an on-campus farmer-chef connection with the Culinary Arts Department.

OSPIRG: The Oregon Student Public Information and Research Group (OSPIRG) is a consumer group that stands up to powerful interests whenever they threaten our health and safety, our financial security or our right to fully participate in our democratic society.  For more information, stop by the OSPRIG office at the bottom of the west stairs in the basement of the Center Building.  Faculty Advisory:  Steve Candee.
