John Jarvie

Guitar Instructor

Profile: John Jarvie concertized extensively in the northwest from 1969 through 1985.

He holds a Music degree from the University of Oregon, and has studied with Michael Lorimer, internationally acclaimed guitar virtuoso.

Mr Jarvie taught at the University of Oregon from 1971-1985. He has been teaching at LCC continuously since 1973. Mr. Jarvie also pursues an interest in engineering and design, and has constructed his own guitars and lute, using an original soundboard bracing system.

Mr. Jarvie has recently resumed an active performance career, and performs on instruments he has designed and built.
