Collaborations 2014

Collaborations, the annual faculty concert,  highlights the work of the talented Lane dance faculty and invited guest choreographers and performers from the local dance community and beyond. Presented in the beautiful Ragozzino Hall, the concert presents a wide range of dance styles: Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip­ Hop,  Balinese and African.

Auditions for Collaborations are held week two of Fall term. See department bulletin boards in studio 132 and 136 for postings.

The Works Student Dance Concert

Students choreograph, design costumes and work with the lighting designer to present their dances in the beautiful Ragozzino Hall. Auditions for The Works Student Dance Concert are held the first or second week of Spring term. See department bulletin boards in studio 132 and 136 for postings.

Talent Grant Auditions

Talent grant auditions are held in November for awards in the following Winter and Spring Terms. Audition forms are available in the studios. Students must complete the paperwork by the deadline and be prepared with a 1­2 minute solo. See link for info                                                                                    

What to wear to Audition

Students need to be on time and prepared to dance at the start of the audition. Wear comfortable, form fitting dance clothes, with hair tied back and minimal jewelry. Students auditioning for tap or hip­hop need to wear appropriate shoes.
