Dance Program
Why dance at Lane?
One of the finest programs in the Pacific Northwest, the Lane Dance Program develops the dancer physically, emotionally and academically. Geared toward both the transfer student and those seeking personal enrichment, the program offers over 20 classes a term in technique, somatics, theory, and world dance. With exceptional instructors teaching in supportive community, dancers train with equal focus on technique, creativity, and somatic awareness.
Students working toward an undergraduate degree in dance at a four year institution pursue an Associate in Arts transfer degree. Students successfully transfer to four year degree programs with technical skills and creative voices to University of Oregon, Cornish Institute of the Arts, Mills College, Naropa, University of Wisconsin, and San Francisco State University.
