Gerry Rempel

Profile: Gerry Rempel has been teaching guitar for 20 years and is currently teaching at Lane Community College, Northwest Christian College, and his own private  studio.

His education includes a Masters in Music Degree in Jazz Studies at the University of Oregon, with secondary fields of study in theory and composition. Gerry also has a Diploma from the Music Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, studying with world renowned players Robin Ford and Joe Diorio.

Gerry toured the US with the Los Angeles-based band, "Steppin' Stones" and has performed with numerous regional and local groups, including fronting his own group "The Rempel Jazz Syndicate". Gerry also plays with the University of Oregon Gospel Ensembles in addition to performing and recording with Lindsey Reightley whose recently released CD is receiving radio airplay in markets around the US. Gerry has also played in numerous Hult Center and other concert venues in productions such as "African Sanctus", "Godspell", and "J.C. Superstar"

Gerry has also done extensive studio session work with Jazz, Rock and Blues bands, including an array of television and radio commercials. He has also performed on TNN national television in Nashville Tennessee with Judy Vogelsang.
