Scholarships & Testing
These are concerns you will need information about at different points in your education. It's smart to think about scholarships early on in the program or even before you start; but you won't need to think about testing until your final terms.
Scholarships:
The Continuing Education Department does offer a small scholarship twice per year; the typical award amount is $300. For more on applying for this, and for information on other ways to finance your education, click to see the FAQs.
This table of possible scholarship opportunities was compiled and verified in early 2016. Check the websites listed for more details!
Testing:
The Oregon Board of Massage Therapists requires that all applicants for licensure pass an online jurisprudence exam as well as a written exam known as the MBLEx (the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam), administered by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Click for more information!
Riding the bus & parking downtown
The Lane Downtown Campus is across from the main bus station and there is abundant parking in the surrounding blocks. Massage program students can also receive parking coupons at a considerable discount, which pay for parking at the Overpark at 10th Avenue & Oak Street. You must present your Lane Massage Program picture ID to get parking coupons.
For more details on costs and options:
- see the Lane Transit District website for bus costs & schedules
- or find out more about parking downtown.
