Community Health Worker / Patient Navigator / Peer Support Specialist Training

Traditional Health Worker Informational Meeting:

Lane Community College is an approved training program for Traditional Health Workers, Community Health Workers, Patient Navigator and Peer Support Specialist. Students successfully completing this class will be certified Traditional Health Workers. Traditional Health Workers, Community Health Workers, Patient Navigators and Peer Support Specialists serve as liaisons between individuals, communities and coordinated care organizations by providing social assistance.

Help individuals navigate through social services and health care agencies provide health and nutritional assistance, as appropriate. Enhance community members' ability to communicate with health care providers. You will have the opportunity to participate in a cooperative education experience (work experience), upon successful completion.

For Traditional Health Workers who are currently working as a Traditional Health Worker for at least 3000 hours (a year full time) and want to be certified by the State of Oregon, we do offer a lower cost option for certification and supplemental training.
