3 Ways to Utilize Tutoring! Study groups, appointments, and drop-in tutoring become vital as we hit midterms. Make use of the three ways to get tutoring help in the TLC! If you are in a study group, try to make each session through week ten. Remember, you need to sign up on the board for drop-in help and sign up in the book for appointments.

Tutor Evaluations Are Due. Each tutor must have ten evaluations from ten different students. You may complete two evaluations for one tutor if the tutor helped you with different subjects. Evaluations are a requirement of all tutors at Lane but also help TRiO tutors to know how they can better serve you. Evaluate tutors with whom you have had an appointment or a study group or even a long or several drop-in sessions.

They are recruiting LCC students from two groups for participation in this study: 1) women ages 18-24 who are (or have been) in an unsafe relationship, and, 2) friends who are (or have been) concerned about the safety of a female friend because of abusive treatment by her partner. Qualified participants complete three confidential app sessions on their smartphone or online, then receive up to $100 in gift cards for their time. For details or more information, students can come to the Women's Center, Bldg. 1, rm. 202, call Patsy at (541) 0463-5298, or go online to myplanstudy.org Submitted by Patsy Raney.
