Annual Lane Powwow

Native American Student Association

Annual Lane Pow Wow

Native American child in traditional clothingOur annual Pow Wow is one of the largest in the Northwest, drawing participants and spectators from around the Northwest and beyond. .This has facilitated an increase in Native American students attending Lane. In 1991, Lane identified 50 Native American students attending class. Today, there are more then 650 self-identified Native American students attending Lane. This increase in Native American students has helped to produce community support for the longhouse project.
