TRiO Staff
These are the TRiO staff that you may meet when you are in the TLC offices. Here you will get to know something about each of them. They will assist you while you are a member of TRiO.

Manages the TRiO program. She assists TRiO students with clarifying their goals at Lane and developing specific, annual plans to achieve those goals. She offers information, support and guidance. She also provides personal/career counseling, and teaches workshops and TRiO credit classes. Mary loves working with TRiO students, as they are highly motivated and dedicated people.
Christopher Hickok
TRiO Tutor Coordinator
Chris studied math and physics at LCC and UO. He was part of a research team at the University for over two years studying early phases of stellar evolution using computer simulations. Chris began tutoring in the Math Resource Center and spent some time in TRiO and TRiO STEM before joining our team as Tutor Coordinator.
Bree McKenzie
Counselor
Bree McKenzie has worked as a counselor in the counseling center and as a part-time instructor since 2005. At TRiO she meets with students for personal and career counseling, academic advising (including health careers) and conducting workshops. "I'm very excited about being able to meet with and support TRiO students on an on-going basis. I enjoy following the students on how they are doing along this exciting and challenging path of college education."

Shalimar Steinberg
Tutor
My name is Shalimar Steinberg, and I love tutoring here at Trio and Trio-STEM. I currently help students with AutoCAD, GIS, writing, beginning math, computer use, and study skills including reading, note taking, and schedule planning. I love helping people succeed, and that includes scholarship applications so keep me in mind spring term! I also teach AutoCAD in the Drafting department on campus, and am a Graduate Student in GIS as well. I look forward to meeting and working with you as a Trio student, and hope you are having a great experience here at Lane.
