The Program supports students at Lane Community College. The program's goals are to help students make a smooth transition to college. The program helps students identify available resources, provides follow-up services, and offers a variety of opportunities to learn about Asian and Pacific Islander culture, values, and traditions.
Available resources include:
Referral services for academic, personal and career counseling. Group interaction through social events. Sponsorship and support for student organizations on campus for Asian and Pacific Islander American students. Liaison between students and local education programs
The program coordinator serves as an on-campus advocate for the students between admissions, financial aid, Lane faculty, and other departments. In addition, the program provides information on the availability of appropriate scholarships.
