Spring Conference

Welcome to Spring Conference 2015

Think, Engage, Create, Communicate, & Apply

Friday, May 1, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Center for Meeting and Learning

Come engage with us during Spring Conference 2015!

This year's Spring Conference will be focused on assessment and Core Learning Outcomes (CLO) engagement in the morning and cultural competency work in the afternoon. Although these two topics seem distinct from each other, they are deeply intertwined in many ways. The Engage CLO asks us to "engage diverse values with civic and ethical awareness"-- the very heart of cultural competency work.

The morning keynote and concurrent workshops will examine in a broad context how to integrate the CLOs and the assessment of learning more deeply into the culture of Lane.

The afternoon keynote and concurrent workshops will focus more specifically on the Engage CLO through cultural competency work. Participants will have opportunities to recognize and clarify their personal values and perspectives on specific topics, to engage with the diverse values and perspectives of others, and to collaborate with peers and colleagues to consider the impact of diverse values and perspectives on the culture of Lane and the surrounding community.
