Personal Counseling

Personal Counseling

Life as a college student can be overwhelming. Managing new demands and challenges are stressful when you're learning college systems, raising a family, or trying to pursue a new career. Fortunately, the Counseling Department offers short-term personal counseling to credit students experiencing issues interfering with student success. If the problem is of a long-term nature, the counselor may refer you to an appropriate professional in the community. See Community Counseling Resources

Lane counselors and counseling interns/externs are highly trained and caring professionals with varied credentials. They can help you manage issues such as:

Be assured that what is discussed with a counselor/counseling intern/extern will remain private and confidential, unless you give permission to share it with others, there is potential danger to self or others, involves child/elder abuse, or it is requested by court order.

Counseling services are available on a drop-in basis during open hours. A limited number of short-term, on-going, weekly counseling appointments are available each term; please see a drop-in counselor at the Counseling Department (main campus) for a referral.

For more information contact the Counseling and Advising Center, by phone (541) 463-3200, or in person, Student Services Building #1 or use the Counseling email form.
