Career Assessments
Below you'll find online assessments to help you decide on a new or different career path. You can do them on your own, or if you'd prefer, you can come to the Career Center to use our computers and get help from staff. You can visit us and see additional resources in Building 19, Room 266.
Career One Stop
Use the "Skills Profiler" to identify skills and activities that you have used on the job or elsewhere. This will create a customized summary of your skills and a list of occupations that match them. You can also access more detailed occupation information, and use the Employer Locator to find names of employers in our area. When your skills profile is complete, you can print it or save it. It will take about 20 minutes to complete your skills profile.
Career Interest Game
This game uses Holland theory to classify people and work environments in six different groups. You'll identify your own Holland Code, match your interests and skills with similar careers, and start thinking about how your personality will fit in with specific work environments and careers.
My Next Move
There are over 900 career options for you to look at on this web site. You can browse by industry, search for specific careers using keywords, or answer questions about the type of work you might enjoy. Use the interest profiler to identify work activities that interest you. Careers are divided into five Job Zones, which indicate how much experience, education and training are needed.
