LCC board to seek input from Florence-area residents at Community Conversation March 9

the seven current board membersFLORENCE, Ore. - The Lane Community College Board of Education is holding a series of Community Conversations to gather public input from around the district on what the college should be doing in the next five years. The board's intent is to inform college strategic planning. The current strategic plan expires in June 2015. It is available online: http://www.lanecc.edu/research/planning/strategic-plan

The board's next Conversation will be held Monday, March 9 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the LCC Florence Center, 3149 Oak St, in Florence.

The public is encouraged to drop in at the conversations. In addition, key stakeholders will be invited. Information about the Conversations, including a response form, is online at www.lanecc.edu/board/conversations

Five conversations already have been held: Nov. 17 in Eugene, Nov. 19 in Elmira, Dec. 2 in Cottage Grove, Jan. 26 in Eugene, and Feb. 5 in Springfield.

Serving on the 2014/15 Board of Education are Sharon Stiles, Zone 1; Bob Ackerman, Zone 2; Gary LeClair, Zone 3; Matt Keating, Zone 4 (Vice Chair); Pat Albright, Zone 5 (Chair); Rosie Pryor, At Large Position 6; and Tony McCown, At Large Position 7.
