LCC board seeks public input on strategic planning; Community Conversations begin Nov. 17

EUGENE, Ore. - The Lane Community College Board of Education invites members of the public to contribute their best thinking to setting the college's strategic directions for the next five years. To gather input, the board will host a series of Community Conversations.

Three Conversations have been scheduled so far:

  • Monday, Nov. 17, from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, Room 102, LCC main campus, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene;
  • Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Elmira High School LCC Center, 24936 Fir Grove Lane, Elmira;
  • Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the LCC Cottage Grove Center, 1275 South River Road, Cottage Grove.

Additional Conversations will be scheduled in January at the Downtown Campus; February in Springfield; March in Florence; April in Oakridge; and May in North Eugene.

The public is encouraged to drop in at the conversations. In addition, key stakeholders will be invited. People also may participate and contribute comments online at www.lanecc.edu/board/conversations

2014/15 is the fifth and final year of the college's 2010-2015 Strategic Plan which is available online at: http://www.lanecc.edu/research/planning/strategic-plan.

Serving on the 2014/15 Board of Education are Sharon Stiles, Zone 1; Bob Ackerman, Zone 2; Gary LeClair, Zone 3; Matt Keating, Zone 4 (Vice Chair); Pat Albright, Zone 5 (Chair); Rosie Pryor, At Large Position 6; and Tony McCown, At Large Position 7.
