What is High School Connections?
College Now? RTEC?

These programs help currently enrolled high school students make the transition from high school to college. You can earn both high school and college credits (dual credit) for some courses to get an early start on college at substantial savings. The High School Connections office is located on main campus in Building 10 Room 207.

Forms

The High School Partnership Referral form is submitted once a year. The high school counselor referring the student to LCC must have district approval signature on the form. The School District is responsible for submitting Billing Authorization to Sponsored Accounts to cover payment for the student.

College Now

Approved College Now classes are held at your high school. These college level courses are offered free for students who meet the academic requirements. These classes include both academic transfer and career/technical courses.

RTEC

The RTEC program offers both career and technical courses not available at your high school, while other programs are located on participating high school campuses. Some school districts will help their students pay for courses located at Lane CC campuses.

Individual High School Partnerships

Some specific High School Partnership programs have been developed with local school districts for high school students.

High School Students Taking Regular Lane CC Courses

High School students who want to enroll in regular LANE CC courses for college credit must fill out a LANE CC credit application. As a credit Lane CC student you will have to fulfill all requirements including the New Student Information Session (on-line), placement testing, academic advising, and meet all prerequisites required for the course.

If the student is under 18 they must submit the signed "Under 18 Parental Signature Form".

GED

The GED program assists students who did not receive a high school diploma to earn a high school equivalency certificate.
