Assessment Course: Coming in Spring 2017!

FPD will collaborate with ASA to offer an assessment course for faculty with instructor Tammy Salman. Participants will receive a stipend. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Draft Course Description

How do we know students are learning? What are student learning outcomes and why do they matter? This course seeks to help faculty answer these questions through intentional focus on foundational assessment practices. Assessment of student learning is a continuous improvement process based on systematic evaluation using formative and summative activities and measures. In this course, participants will discuss and analyze the assessment cycle in the context of teaching and learning and through evaluation of methods used at the course-, program-, and college level.
