Meeting called to order at 3:15 p.m. by Phil Moore.

Committee discussion items:

Credit for Prior Learning: (see attachement):

Action: Craig Taylor will head a sub-comittee on this item and report back to our committee at the October meeting.

Catalog Rules: (see attachment)

Action: On the first item the committee agreed that if a student was gone 4 terms, she/he needs to go under the new year requirements for degree completion. Siv Barnum will head a sub-comittee to review the second item regarding the current practice of grandfathering in a course on the AAOT list along with Melanie Brown and Paul Wilkins.  The third item, Integrity of the Catalog/Degree has been postponed for discussion until the October meeting.

Committee Members: who will remain on the committee for the 2014/15 academic year and who will be leaving. 

Action: It was moved to discuss this item further at the October meeting.

Human Relations Requirement: discussion on whether we need to review and possibly revise the current objectives for current as well as potential courses listed under the HR list for the AAS degree. (see attached)

Action: Craig Taylor will take this item to the Division Deans for further discussion.

199 and 299 Experimental Courses: discussion on the length of time we currently allow for experimental courses to run before they are required to eitther be submitted to the committee/state for a permanent number or inactivated

Action: the committee agreed that 199 and 299 courses should have a limit of two offerings  over a two year period. Craig and Melanie will write up guidelines for this.
