BUILDINGS 4 AND 5 ADDITION AND REMODEL
The remaining tasks to close out the projects in Buildings 4 and 5 will be completed this week. During spring break, Lease Crutcher Lewis will have construction crews working in all areas of Buildings 4 and 5, and locker rooms and showers will be closed.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
LCL continues to complete punch list items inside the dance studio and Fitness Education Center addition. Designers and FMP have developed a plan to work with a contractor to make repairs to the HVAC controls. The repairs are scheduled to start this week and are not expected to cause disruption to class schedules.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
The addition and remodeling in building five projects are complete. Some heating and ventilation issues in certain areas have been reported and a collaborated effort with FMP/bond staff and engineers continue the tedious work to locate and identify the source of the problem and then priority work to correct the issue will be performed.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
Construction of the building five addition project is complete and the general contractor is on the site completing final punch list items of the project. Other repairs to the HVAC system that were discovered during the construction phase of the project will be ongoing over the next 45 days. This work is expected to help to improve air flow in the second level of the building. Punch list items are expected to last for another 30 days and is work is expected to be scheduled around class schedules to minimize disruption. Painting and floor sealing will be scheduled for after hours and weekends.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
Construction continues to push forward in both areas of the building 5 additions. Multipurpose addition will allow for greater flexibility and will be furnished with new equipment, a better sound system, and a lot of natural lighting and ventilation. The second half of the new addition is a dance studio that will be a highlight of new classroom standards here at Lane. Over winter break, Buildings 4 and 5 are scheduled to go through one more fast paced renovation that is expected to cause some noise from construction activities. The fitness center will be open with very limited access and the locker rooms will be closed. Construction of the addition and fast paced remodeling project is scheduled to be completed by January 2, 2011.

Construction of the FEC addition and dance studio is scheduled to be completed on Dec. 15. Exterior site work began Monday, Nov. 8. This activity will require diesel powered equipment to be brought back to the site to remove areas of the landscaping on the east side of Building 5.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
The remodeling phase of Building 5 is complete. LCL is still working on several correction items and are expecting work to take up to 30 days to complete due to having to complete the work after hours in order avoid disrupting classes. The FEC and dance studio additions piece of the project are on schedule to will be completed by December 15.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
This project will complete in two phases. The remodeling portion of the project is completed and ready to occupy. The first phase includes a complete remodel of the check out area and a new classroom addition. Many of the areas still need to have a final coat of paint, and some additional cleaning will be on going for two more weeks. Deep cleaning that requiring the use of chemicals will be completed after hours as done in the past by the Lane janitorial staff. Areas inside the remodeled area will be painted after 9 PM and will be completed in a well-ventilated location.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
As the addition portion of this project to this building continues, most of the remodel work to this area is complete. The addition of the dance studio is scheduled to be completed by December 15. Several features have been designed into the floor plan that better defines access to the lower floor. The main entry doors were replaced with new storefront glass doors exposing the lobby area as a central relaxing environment of both buildings. From the second floor, the concrete walls have been cut open to allow staff and students to see the stairs leading to the lower level and the display of the new checkout counter and the new state of the art storage system. This centrally located checkout area will provide better access and is designed to reduce congestion during busy class times. The women's shower facilities have been expanded to allow room for more lockers which are scheduled to be installed during the winter break. The Fitness Center has been renovated providing an enhanced natural airflow from the glass doors installed as part of the new design. Two large fans have been added to the ceiling of the fitness center that will draw air from the outside and will exhaust through vents placed on the roof.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
Crews are working seven days a week making upgrades to the first floor. Building 5 is taking shape with the new rounded and open design on the first floor. The new glass doors located on the east side of the fitness center were installed on September 1. The new addition is going strong with an expected completion of December 15. Openings have been cut and crews installed the new steel stairs the week of September 6. Remodeling of this section of the building is on schedule to be completed by December 15. Crews are working at an accelerated pace to make sure parts of Building 5 are open and ready for the fall term. The fitness center floor has been refinished, and crews will be moving in equipment starting September 15. Through the holiday weekend, a new floor covering system was installed in the first floor that is especially designed to resist high traffic while being very low maintenance. A specialized floor surfacing company was on site working through the weekend to install a system on the first level of Building 4. The materials used in this process emit a strong odor during installation and will be noticeable for up to seven days after installation. Demolition crews will be back on the site this week cutting larger holes in the concrete tower to allow larger vents to be installed allowing additional air flow to the HVAC units.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
Remodel of the first floor and the fitness center is going strong and will be completed by September 17. Crews were scheduled to complete the last round of demolition and saw cutting on Monday, August 23. LCL placed temporary wall in the main lobby of building 5 in anticipation of removing the concrete area next to the stairs. Block walls in the new dance studio addition have been completed and crews will install the steel supports next week. Please note that due to the construction of the first floor of building 5, entire first floor will be closed until September 20. Access will be restricted to construction staff only. All showers, the fitness center, dance studio, weight room, and all other areas on the first floor will not be accessible during this time.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
This project was set up in two different phases. The first phase is the interior remodeling of the fitness center and check out station on the first floor. This phase of construction is scheduled to be completed by September 17. A lot of the work that starts this week will be very noisy and will be moving at a fast pace for the next 30 days. The first activity that started Monday is to cut out and removed large openings in the wall of the fitness center. This work is expected to be loud throughout the day and should only last one week.
The second phase of construction is the addition on the north end of the building. This project is on schedule to be completed by January 2011. The concrete floor and CMU walls have been built, and Lease Crutcher Lewis is expecting their first load of steel for the framing next week. An office trailer is now located on the north side and will be staffed with the construction crews for the remainder of the project.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
Remodeling work of the fitness center and checkout counter is scheduled to increase on Friday, August 13. Summer classes are completed in the fitness center and moving crews will be removing the fitness equipment right away to make room for construction activities. Demolition crews will start saw cutting sections of the block wall on the east side of the fitness center this week. This work is expected to be noisy and might cause some dust drift into Bristow square.

Concrete placement for the dance studio is completed and steel for the building is being erected this week. Building 4 classrooms are 80 percent complete and HVAC system installation is on going and is expected to be completed on time. The building 5 project wall board installation will begin this week.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL AND ADDITION
The concrete floor supporting the new addition is scheduled to be placed on Wednesday, July 28. Once concrete is set, contractors will then be able to install the steel framework that will support the new addition. Steel installation is noisy at times and will require air powered equipment to complete the connections. Steel installation is not expected to start until mid August.

BUILDING 5 REMODEL/ADDITION
Foundation work continues on the north side of building 5. Equipment was mobilized this week, beginning Monday, June 14, to start installing the foundation piles for the new addition. This work caused noise and ground vibration throughout the day. Also on Monday, demolition started on building 5, west side, lower level, of walls, ramps, and exterior doors.

Excavation for the foundation will continue at the north side of the building. Foundation piles are scheduled for installation the end of June, which is expected to cause some vibration inside the fitness center and might be noticeable throughout the building. Construction demolition is scheduled to start on June 12 on the first floor and is expected to continue through the summer and up to the beginning of fall term. The northwest stair access to the lower level of building 5 will be closed June 12-17.

Construction is starting early on the building 5 addition. Temporary fence has been placed around the construction area and is expected to remain until the project is completed. LCL has scheduled a contractor to start locating the underground utilities within the fenced area. Excavation has started for the underground utilities on the east side of building 5 and is expected to last two weeks. When the utilities have been located, excavation will begin the first week of June.

BUILDINGS 4 REMODEL AND BUILDING 5 REMODEL/ADDITION
A (CM/GC Construction Manager-General Contractor) agreement was awarded to Lease Crutcher Lewis and approved at Board of Education meeting on March 17. LCL has been attending meetings with Lane coordination staff and bid packages will be advertised to the public by March 26. A tour of building 4 is scheduled for March 30. Contractors are working with the trades on calculating the anticipated needs of material and equipment to order right away in effort to avoid potential construction delays. Limited construction activities are expected to begin on the outside of building 4 on April 28, but this work is not expected to cause disruption to staff or students.

BUILDINGS 4 REMODEL AND BUILDING 5 REMODEL/ADDITION
Construction Manager/General Contractor reviews are complete and recommendations are being reviewed. A decision is expected this week. Architects are working to complete the construction documents for both buildings and construction setup is expected to begin as scheduled on June 14. Construction activities and demolition are expected to begin June 21 after the state dental exams are complete. Since work to remodel building 4 will be in progress, beginning June 21 through September 15 the LCC dental lab will be operating in a new location. The location has not been determined but is expected to reside off campus.

CM/GC selection process has brought to the team a General Contractor working on buildings 4 and 5. Testing for foundation soil is complete and no further testing is necessary at this time. GDB architecture is working on completing construction documents so permits can be obtained from Lane County. Classroom construction is expected to start mid June and will be completed by the fall term. A meeting is being scheduled to work with the user group on plans for the relocation of the Dental Clinic for the summer. A few locations were identified and viewed for consideration, but none have selected at this time.

BOND UPDATE: BUILDING 4 REMODEL AND BUILDING 5 REMODEL/ADDITION
Soils testing is scheduled for February 17 at 8 a.m. The testing agency will be sectioning off small areas north of building 5 where they will remove large amounts of soil to obtain samples. When soil sampling is complete, the holes will be backfilled and all sectioned areas will be reopened.
KEYLESS ACCESS
The contractor, Allied Fire & Security, will start installing hardware on a few doors in building 5 on Tuesday. Later during the week, hardware installation will begin on building 6. Various rough in work continues in building 16 including the mounting of electronic enclosures in the crawlspace and basement locations. Four CCTV cameras were installed on Facilities, building 7, as part of a camera evaluation. The results of the test will help us arrive at a decision as to the most appropriate cameras to install as part of the Keyless Access project.

ALL DEFERRED MAINTENANCE PROJECTS COMPLETE

The project is currently in the construction document phase and with that comes the work of engineers, architects, and specialty contractors who are focusing on the buildings inside and outside gathering relevant information necessary to prepare the construction documents. Work that may include opening classroom doors and looking at the inside from windows might be distracting but this activity is not typically disruptive.
Over the next few weeks, two testing agencies will be on the site to conduct surveys for information required for new construction. PBS is currently conducting an asbestos survey of building 5 that will allow Lane to hire a contractor to remove anything that might contain asbestos. Removing the asbestos from areas recommended is expected to start in May and will take several weeks to complete. FEI will be performing soils testing that will include using large equipment on the north side of building 5 to obtain a sample from below the asphalt so engineers can determine a foundation design. This activity is not expected to start until the first week of February.

Fifty-five old and obsolete electrical panels were identified as requiring replacement. Twenty of the panels have been replaced to date. The remaining 35 panels are in buildings 5, 11 and 12 and will be replaced later this year or next year.

Roof installation for building 4 and 5 have been completed and the metal roofing contractor is expected to be completed by September 4. The skylights are still in manufacturing and they currently have an installation date of October 17.
PROJECT 455 RESTROOM UPGRADES
Building 4 first floor restrooms punchlist is to be completed August 28. Building 4 second floor restrooms tile installation to be completed this week and cured. Final hook-up starting next week with anticipated completion September 18. Building 6, level 1 restroom plumbing, ceiling and partitions are complete. The restroom is substantially complete awaiting a new door September 3 and turnover with the new door on September 10.

Tile installation is to be completed in final men's area this week. Demolition of final women's area to be complete so re-tiling can start this week. Forty percent of the tile area has been sealed. SUSTAINABILITY IN DEFERRED MAINTENANCE ROOFING PROJECTS
The Building 4 and 5 roofing projects include a significant improvement in roof insulation. Facilities estimates that this project will annually save 3,289 therms of natural gas and 96,296 kilowatt-hours of electricity, resulting in an annual decrease in energy costs of $8,336. This project contributes to Lane's goal to become carbon neutral.
PROJECT 451 UTILITY SUBMETERING
Completed meter installations this week: water meters for buildings 1, 2, and 5; electrical meters for buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, and 27. Main building isolation valve replacements this week: domestic cold water in buildings 4, 5, and 6. In addition, eight water main valves were replaced.

The lower part of building 5 is complete and Umpqua Roofing is schedule to complete the upper part of building 5 on September 3. Skylights may be installed in October due to problems with the supplier.

Building 4 first floor restrooms punchlist to be complete August 28. Building 4 second floor restrooms paint, HVAC, ceiling grids and lights complete. A new door is scheduled for September 3 and the restroom is scheduled to be turned over for use September 10.

Metal roofing on building 5 is on schedule and expected to be completed mid-September. Skylights located in the open area between buildings 4 and 5 have been delayed but the contractor is working with the subcontractor to install the skylights by September 15.

Anticipated completion is September 25 for the entire locker room upgrade project.

Kick-off meeting for design of upgrades was scheduled for August 10.
PROJECT 454 BUILDINGS 4 AND 5 REROOF
New access ladders will be installed after the metal roofing on the outside of building 5 and cap metal flashing is complete. The skylight contractor is scheduled to be on site the week of August 10 and a pre-installation meeting will be held to plan for working over an area that is expected to have a lot of pedestrian traffic. The project is on schedule to be completed in mid September.
PROJECT 455 RESTROOM UPGRADES
Punchlist work is ongoing in building 4 first floor restrooms. Building 5 second floor restrooms mortar bed replacement is complete; framing, plumbing rough-in complete; and electrical rough-in is ongoing. Building 6 lower level restrooms tile installation is ongoing.
PROJECT 459 SHOWER UPGRADES
Building inspection is complete in men's locker room areas: southwest and southeast restrooms, shower #1 and #3, and men's staff room. All of these areas will be available for use next week. Women's locker east areas are being retiled and the ceiling is to be installed in these areas next week. Electrical bids are due next week for installation of hand dryers, hard-wired sinks and new sealed light fixtures.

PROJECT 452 ELECTRICAL UPGRADES
LCC deferred maintenance electricians have been replacing up to 43 obsolete and unsafe electrical panels at the main campus. Work will continue to replace 30 additional panels in Buildings 4, 5, 11, and 12 in future weeks through the summer. 65% of the backbone conduit and control panel boxes are installed, buildings 9, 24, 12 (except for the paint booth), and 13. Panel upgrades are on hold for now due to class room schedules. Building 7 is complete, Building 4 is 75% complete. Buildings 11 and 5 are on order and we may change them out on August 22nd and 23rd. Departments effected by this work will be notified in advance in accordance with College policy.

Umpqua Roofing has completed the flat roof section of building 5 and Steadman Sheet Metal, a subcontractor to Umpqua Roofing, is completing the new metal roofing around the perimeter. Skylights for building 5 are expected to arrive the week of August 10. This activity is expected to be loud and dusty in that general area and installation will take 2 days. The area under the roof will be sectioned off to keep the staff and students safe from overhead work.
BOND UPDATE
The contract with Cameron McCarthy Gilbert & Scheibe Landscape Architects for design services in connection with the Track & Soccer Bowl upgrades should be executed this week. This would permit design work to commence next week.

Sustainability in Deferred Maintenance Restroom Upgrades
Lane is working to incorporate sustainable practices into all of the deferred maintenance projects. The restroom upgrades in Buildings 4, 5, and 6 involve replacing old toilets that used 3.5 gallons per flush with new auto-flushing dual flush toilets. These toilets automatically flush either 1.1 gallons or 1.6 gallons. The replacement of 45 toilets in these three buildings will result in approximately 130,000 gallons of water saved per year. Saving water saves the college money and helps preserve habitat in and around the McKenzie River.

Project 459 Shower Upgrades
Currently out of service for tile replacement: East half of Women's Locker Area. Currently out of service for fixture replacement: Men's Shower Stall #3, Men's West Restroom, Women's Staff and Men's Staff. To be turned over for use next week: Men's East Restroom, Men's Shower Stall #1. Dropped ceiling and duct extension installation to continue, sprinkler head replacement next week. Partitions 2 weeks out, lights 5 weeks out.

SUSTAINABILITY UPDATE - SOLAR THERMAL PROJECT
A multiple-building solar thermal project is currently in the design phase. This is a unique and innovative project that includes funding from the Health and Wellness Building, Deferred Maintenance, and the Bond. The project involves installing solar thermal panels on the new Health and Wellness Building. These panels will heat water that will be used in the Laundry, the Health and Wellness Building, and Building 5. Since hot water needs and production can vary from day to day and term to term, any excess hot water produced by the panels will feed into the college's central heating system. This renewable energy project will reduce the college's natural gas costs and carbon emissions associated with natural gas use.

The piping for the renewable energy project was insulated which concludes the first phase of the project. LCC Facilities staff will meet with Evergreen Engineering later this month to discuss the campus electrical systems one line verification and update, arc flash studies, and overcurrent coordination studies.
PROJECT 454 BUILDING 4 and 5 REROOF
Umpqua Roofing has completed removing the old roofing materials and should complete installation of single ply roofing over the gymnasium by Wednesday, July 22. Stedman Sheet Metal is currently installing new metal roofing on the east side and tower of building 5 and should complete work in two weeks. The scaffolding currently in place on the south side of building 5 will remain in place for safe access to install new metal roofing along the south side of the building.

LCC deferred maintenance electricians have been replacing up to 43 obsolete and unsafe electrical panels at the main campus and completed eight panels in Building 7. Work will continue to replace 30 additional panels in Buildings 4, 5, 11, and 12 through the summer. Departments affected by this work will be notified in advance in accordance with college policy. Twin Rivers Plumbing contractors finished piping work last week in the tunnel system and in building 7 for a renewable energy project. Evergreen Engineering has finished the Campus Electrical Systems one line verification and update, Arc Flash studies, and overcurrent coordination studies and submitted plans and recommendations.

The flat roof work has started over the top of building 5 and should be completed by July 17. Umpqua Roofing has made adjustments in their schedule to accommodate activates taking place in that area.

Currently out of service for fixture replacement and installation of ceiling: women's staff locker, men's staff locker, men's east restroom and men's shower stall #1. Fifty percent of fixture order arrived July 1 and the remainder is expected by July 17.

Stedman Sheet Metal is finishing up on the roof peeks of Building 4 and will be installing the cap flashing at the edge of the building by the end of the week. Once the cap flashing is installed the Building 4 roof replacement will be complete. The next task for Stedman Sheet Metal is to start installing metal roofing on the west side of Building 5. Umpqua Roofing has started to tear off the sloped side of Building 5 this week and is expected to have the tear-of work completed by July 8, 2009. The flat roof work has started over the top of the Building 5 gymnasiums. This work should be completed by the end of next week. This section of roof has no tear off of the old materials. Umpqua Roofing has made adjustments in their schedule to accommodate activities taking place in that area.

BUILDING 4 & 5 DUCT CLEANING AND REPAIR
During a deferred maintenance project to reroute an ineffective drain line under Building 4, a buried underground supply air duct was broken by a jack hammer. A small amount of dirt and concrete debris got into the duct. This happened on Saturday, June 6. The supply air duct serves Building 5 Room 125. Concurrent with this incident, an underground water line broke. The broken line was shut off within 15 minutes, but during that time some water was found to be leaking from a return air duct into the Building 4 mechanical room. The return air duct was not punctured by the jackhammer, but it must have lost some of it's water-tight seal so that when the ground became saturated with water, some of that water got into the duct.
The broken supply air duct has been patched. FMP has scheduled cleaning of these ducts and re-sealing of the return air duct on Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19.
PROJECT 445 STAIR AND HANDRAIL RENOVATIONS
Replacement of connecting stairs in south parking lot L is continuing. The long set of steps leading from 'L' to building 19 have been removed. These stairs are scheduled to be completed by early August. Rumble strips have been created in designated parking lots and roads on the south and west sides of the campus. Stairs between buildings 4 and 5 are gone and new stairs should be installed by mid-August.
PROJECT 454 BUILDINGS 4 & 5 REROOFING
Umpqua Roofing has completed the tear-off and reinstalled the flat roof section of building 4. Stedman Sheet Metal is currently working on installing the metal over the peeked roofs on building 4 and is expected to be completed with that area by Friday, June 26, completing the last roofing activity for building 4. Umpqua Roofing started the tear-off of the old roofing material a few days ago and is now currently working over the PE tower between the gymnasium and the fitness center. Weather permitting, removal of the old material on building 5 is expected to be completed June 26. Installation of the sheet metal roofing on building 5 is expected to start on June 29 and is scheduled to be completed by September 15.
PROJECT 459 BUILDING 5 SHOWER UPGRADES
Currently out of service for tile replacement are the women's staff locker room, men's staff locker room, men's east water closet and shower bay #3. Tile work is completed in men's shower bay #1 and it is back in service.

BOND UPDATE
Building 2 and Performance Hall elevator project starts with a kick-off meeting with the architect June 18. This meeting has to do with the "mechanics" of the project. PUG members will not be needed at this meeting. Performance Hall seats have been ordered and the architect working on drawings for ADA platforms. Center building re-roof project is scheduled to start this week. Asbestos abatement work scheduled to be done this week in the Center first floor classroom project. New siding is scheduled to be purchased this week for the Florence project. Thirty-five design firms requested copies of the request for proposals for the Track and Soccer Bowl upgrades project. A pre-proposal conference scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 and proposals are due June 24. The architect for the remodel of room 19/270 for Foundation offices is planning to go out for bids by the end of June. Space assignment request is being prepared for the renewable energy project. Bond project manager hire committee has made a recommendation and reference checks will be done as soon as time permits.

Umpqua roofing continues to strip off old roofing materials and is now installing 2 inches of additional closed cell insulation and either the metal standing seam roofing on the sloped roofs or a white TPO type single ply roofing on the flat roofs. This work is progressing nicely and is expected to be completed in late summer.

Replacement of connecting stairs in south parking lot L is continuing. These stairs are scheduled to be completed by mid-July. Demolition of the stairs between buildings 4 and 5 will occur June 6-7. Minor plumbing and footing work for the new stairs will occur in the lower level of building 4 the week of June 8.

Umpqua Roofing is removing the old composition roofing and installing new insulation and metal roofing on building 5. The metal roofing material is being loaded on the roof of building 5 by a crane service and is expected to continue the week of June 8. Flat roof work over building 4 will continue this week.

BOND UPDATE
An agreement between the college and architect is expected to be completed this week for the building 2 remodel and Performance Hall elevator project. Bids for the Performance Hall replacement seats came in under budget and the lowest bid was the preferred seat. Work on the Center building re-roof project is expected to begin after spring term finals. Center building first floor classroom project demolition of existing rooms will be done by college workers starting June 15. Architects are continuing work on the Florence Center and the bond office has requested a conditional use permit from the city of Florence. Request For Proposals from landscape architects and/or architects in connection with design services for the Track & Soccer Bowl Upgrades project will be distributed early this week. Deadline for submittal of proposals is June 24. Design work is continuing for the remodel of building 19 room 270 for Foundation offices. A space assignment request is being prepared for two photo-voltaic arrays for the renewable energy project. The arrays are proposed to feed energy into the campus grid and electric car charging stations. A grant from EWEB will help fund this project. The Bond Project Manager hiring committee plans to make a recommendation by June 12.

454 Buildings 4 & 5 Reroofing
Umpqua Roofing is currently working on the top of building #5 removing the old composition roofing and installing new insulation and metal roofing. Currently they have finished the west side and will be moving to the North side, weather permitting. Last week, construction activities shook loose a white power material from the underside of the roof in the gym and the material was tested by PBS. The material was found to contain nothing harmful to the students and staff. New metal roofing showed up on site on Monday June 1, 2009 and installation started on Tuesday June 2, 2009. The metal roofing material is being loaded on the roof of building five by a crane service and is expected to continue the first part of next week. Flat roof work over building four has started and is expected to continue for a few more days. Currently, they are working over the walkway of building four.

BOND UPDATE
The Owner-Architect Agreement for design of Building 2 & Performance Hall elevator remodels is expected to be completed this week and Project User Group (PUG) meetings will be scheduled for the following week. Bids to reroof the Center building were opened and the low bid was below estimate. A PUG will review the schematic drawing of remodel of building 19, room 270 to accommodate the Foundation. A PUG will review a schematic drawing of Center building first floor classroom this week. The Bond Management office is scheduled to begin preparing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for design services in connection with the Track & Soccer bowl improvements. A request for quotes from theater seat manufacturers has gone out and the deadline to receive quotes is Wednesday, June 3. Architectural work on the Florence Center is continuing.

BUILDING 5 SHOWER ROOMS TILE REPLACEMENT
The far west rest room and first shower bay will be out of service until June. Eugene Tile and Marble will finish the installation of tile the week of June 1st. The installation of ceiling tile and fixtures will begin the week of June 1st. No additional men's showers will be taken out of service until these restroom and shower areas are returned to service. At the end of the week of June 1st, tile demolition will start in a portion of the women's staff locker room.

DEFERRED MAINTENANCE STAIR AND HANDRAIL RENOVATIONS
McKenzie Commercial began installing curbs in parking lot L south of building 16. Demolition of the steps between the upper and lower levels of building 4 and 5 will occur June 6 and 7.
BOND UPDATE
Florence Center design work is going forward on two options for the biology lab and specifications are being prepared for the new siding, roof insulation and finish roof. Quotes will be solicited for the Performance Hall seating and the board of education awarded the contract for the elevator upgrade to Solarc Architecture and Engineering. Solarc will also do the elevator upgrade for building 2. The Center building re-roof bids for construction are due May 27 with work scheduled for the summer. A Project User Group will be formed for the Track & Soccer Bowl Improvements project so a scope of work statement can be prepared and the design team selection process can begin.

DEFERRED MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE OVER THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the deferred maintenance teams will not be working on Saturday May 23 or Monday the 25th. The majority of contractors are not scheduled to be working either, although there may be activity around Buildings 4 and 5 with the reroofing project. A crane is scheduled in Saturday morning to lift materials on to the roof. Lane's project coordinator, Mark Richardson, will supervise.

DEFERRED MAINTENANCE BUILDINGS 4 and 5 RESTROOM UPGRADES
The first floor restrooms in building 4 will continue to be out of service. Essex General Construction began installing sheetrock and painting on May 18. Building 5 west toilet room and first shower bay will be out of service until June for installation of wall tile and shower drains. No other showers will be taken out of service until the first ones are complete.

DEFERRED MAINTENANCE WEST ENTRANCE ADA RAMP UPGRADE
Construction activities for the new west entrance began Monday, May 18. Demolition will last for five days and is expected to be very disruptive to staff at times. Deferred maintenance staff will be trained to help maintain safe passage for the pedestrian traffic and act as an information source to students trying to gain access to buildings 4 and 5.
