BUILDING 19 BUSINESS OFFICE REMODEL
Painting contractors have started painting on interior walls and painting will be completed this week. The interior finish will begin the week of August 23 with the installation of the new cabinets, lights and carpet for the new office spaces. During construction, two large data conduits were discovered inside a wall that had to be removed. The electrician will start this week to remove and reroute the wires so the conduits can be removed. This is likely going to cause a shutdown of data services for several areas east of the culinary classrooms. A notification will be sent 48 hours in advance to prepare employees of the data service interruption that is expected to last for three days. The remodeling project is scheduled to be complete September 1 and staff will be moving into the new spaces the week of September 13. Contact Mark Richardson, (541) 463-3456.

BUILDING 19 BUSINESS OFFICE REMODEL
The project to remodel offices for the Business department staff is on schedule and will be completed by September 1. Wall construction is complete and painting is scheduled to begin this week. PROJECT 447 CARPET REPLACEMENT AND FLOOR COVERING INSTALLATION
Building 19 hard flooring installation in the storage hallway, room 107 has been completed. Flight Technology, building 44, restroom flooring and carpet replacement is also complete. Contact Angela Fazio, (541) 463-3428.

PROJECT 448 KEYLESS ACCESS
The contractor, Allied Fire & Security, is currently installing door hardware on Building 7. After work is completed on 7, the next buildings are 6, 16, 19 and Center. Hardware installations on buildings 8, 9, 12, 15, 4, and 13 have been completed to date, though some procedural and hardware/electronic issues remain on these buildings. The remainder of the buildings will be commissioned through winter and spring terms. FMP electricians will be concentrating on the keyless access system over the next several months. BOND UPDATE: BUILDING 19 FOUNDATION
Interior painting in the office planned to begin December 7 and fumes will be present in the area during the drying process. Carpet installation is scheduled for the first week of January 2010. Construction activity for the Foundation office was delayed slightly and completion is now expected late January 2010.

BOND UPDATE: BUILDING 19 WORKFORCE TRAINING & FOUNDATION
WORKFORCE TRAINING
Construction of the new rooms are complete and now being used by workforce training staff. One of the rooms is being used as a classroom and the other as a resource room. Podiums have been ordered for the new classroom 263B and it is expected to arrive on campus during the week of Dec 7. AV equipment is being reviewed and may be ordered mid-Dec for room 263B. Completion of a new functioning classroom and new resource room enables staff to better serve the community affected by high unemployment and a struggling economy.

FOUNDATION OFFICE SUITE
Demolition and new wall framing is complete for the new Foundation office. An electrical contractor is expected to start installation on Monday, Nov 16. This area has been designed to accommodate four full-time and two part-time staff members. A PUG meeting is scheduled for Nov 17 to talk about he variety of window covering and other room décor options; insuring that special attention is given in creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients and others who visit the new Foundation office.

BOND UPDATE: BOND UPDATE: BUILDING 19 WORKFORCE TRAINING & FOUNDATION
WORKFORCE TRAINING
Classrooms are completed and crews are moving furnishings into the rooms to get ready for classes scheduled for Tuesday, November 10. Final inspection is expected Friday, November 6. This area now complete has two upgraded smart classrooms, storage closets with oak shelves and a new employee break room. The podiums were ordered for the classrooms last month and are expected to arrive on site the December 1. LCC staff members are working to obtain completive price quotes for the AV equipment so an order can be placed this month. Installation of the equipment is not expected to start until spring term due to the high demand that is being placed on the AV staff members.

FOUNDATION OFFICE
Beginning on Monday, November 9, FMP crews will be moving furniture out of the office, building 19, room 270 into Building 10 storage and afterwards, demolition will begin and is expected to last two or three days. The levels of noise will be increased during that time but is not expected to be disruptive to students. When demolition is completed, construction of the new foundation office will begin and should be completed by January 1, 2010.

FOUNDATION OFFICE
Construction of the Foundation office has been delayed by a few days to allow the moving crew access to relocate the classroom furnishing that is currently in use. The relocation is expected to take place on Friday, November 6 and construction to begin November 9.

PROJECT 447 CARPET REPLACEMENT/FLOOR COVERING
Carpet replacement for building 19 upper level hallways and classrooms will be completed by September 2. Rubinstein's Carpet removal on the first floor of building 19 is going to start on Monday August 31 and is expected to be completed by September 4. Building 19 room 104 is scheduled to have the carpet removed on September 3 and replaced on Friday, September 4. Flooring has been ordered for Flight Technology and is scheduled for installation October 30. Contact Mark Richardson, (541) 463-3426.

PROJECT 456 & 457 CLASSROOM UPGRADES
Classroom upgrades are on schedule to be completed by the fall term. This week, the project coordinator is going to start completing a walkthrough of the classrooms with the department personnel and others to get ready for the reopening of the classrooms in several buildings. LCC staff is currently working on installing the AV electronics but is not expected to have all smart classrooms completed by the start of fall tem. PROJECT 447 CARPET REPLACEMENT/FLOOR COVERING
Carpet replacement has been completed in the Center building classrooms. Installation efforts are now being redirected to building 19 where crews are going to start removing the old carpet in the hallways and lobby area. PROJECT 450 EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
SecureCom, the Fire Alarm contractor, is working during the evening hours in building 19 this week to avoid disruption of the building occupants. Commissioning and testing of the fire Alarm system will begin on Friday, September 4 and continue through September 25. Contact Dave Smith, (541) 463-3433.

PROJECT 451 UTILITY SUBMETERING
Completed meter installations this week: water meters for buildings 1, 2, and 5; electrical meters for buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, and 27. Main building isolation valve replacements this week: domestic cold water in buildings 4, 5, and 6. In addition, eight water main valves were replaced. Contact Angela Fazio, (541) 463-3428.

PROJECT 456 & 457 CLASSROOM UPGRADES
Crews are currently working to completed classrooms in the Center building and Building 19. Classrooms 453, 455, 456, 429, and 431 will be painted this week and are the last rooms in the Center building that will be painted. PROJECT 446 EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Christenson Electric continued to place path lighting fixtures (pole mounted and bollard) along egress paths around campus especially around Bristow Square. Parking lot fixtures are expected to be received in September and installed by the start of fall term. Contact Dave Smith, (541) 463-3433.

PROJECT 450 EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROJECT 445 STAIR AND HANDRAIL RENOVATIONS
Remaining concrete steps in parking lot 'L' will be poured this week. Installation of handrails remains. Long set of steps leading from 'L' to building 19 have been removed and new steps are scheduled to be poured on July 27. PROJECT 447 CARPET REPLACEMENT/FLOOR COVERING
Carpet and linoleum installation in four classrooms in building 12 is expected to be completed the week of July 20. Next, carpet will be installed in classrooms on the Center fourth floor. Carpet replacement is also scheduled for building 6 rooms 140 and 126 the week of July 27. Beginning the second week of August, another large shipment of carpet will be delivered for buildings 19, 3, and 15 and Florence. Contact Mark Richardson, (541) 463-3426.

PROJECT 456 CLASSROOM UPGRADES
Currently 26 classrooms are being upgraded to smart classrooms with more starting August 1. Third Generation Painting has completed many of the classrooms and will start painting walls in buildings 8 and 9. Deferred maintenance crews will be patching concrete floors and walls in building 8 rooms 110 and 122 and patching walls and running electrical in Center building rooms 416, 427 and 432. Rooms that have been painted and will have podiums, whiteboards and new carpet installed over the next three weeks are Center building rooms 401, 402, 416, 423, 425, and 427, and building 16 rooms 126, 140, 161 and 271. Deferred maintenance crews will begin work on building 15 rooms 206 and 208 and building 19 rooms 109, 203 and 132 next. In the building 4 first floor classrooms, demolition is complete and deferred maintenance crews have been modifying the electrical system and installing new walls. The HVAC contractor will be on site laying out the new system for the classrooms and modifying the existing system starting the week of July 20. PROJECT 447 CARPET REPLACEMENT
Carpet replacement for Building 12 is scheduled to start on July 13, 2009 and is expected to take about two weeks to complete the upper floor offices and classrooms. The carpet contractor has measured for carpet replacement at the Florence campus and Building 19 so they can be added to the list of areas that need new carpet. The next shipment of carpet is schedule to arrive on site the third week of July and is scheduled to be installed in some of the classrooms in Center and Building 16. The large order of carpet is expected to arrive the first week of August and that order is for the remaining smart classrooms. Contact Mark Richardson at (541) 463-3426.

PROJECT 445 STAIR AND HANDRAIL RENOVATIONS
Replacement of connecting stairs in south parking lot L is continuing. The long set of steps leading from 'L' to building 19 have been removed. These stairs are scheduled to be completed by early August. Rumble strips have been created in designated parking lots and roads on the south and west sides of the campus. Stairs between buildings 4 and 5 are gone and new stairs should be installed by mid-August. Contact Brian McMurray, (541) 463-5829.

BOND UPDATE
Building 2 and Performance Hall elevator project starts with a kick-off meeting with the architect June 18. This meeting has to do with the "mechanics" of the project. PUG members will not be needed at this meeting. Performance Hall seats have been ordered and the architect working on drawings for ADA platforms. Center building re-roof project is scheduled to start this week. Asbestos abatement work scheduled to be done this week in the Center first floor classroom project. New siding is scheduled to be purchased this week for the Florence project. Thirty-five design firms requested copies of the request for proposals for the Track and Soccer Bowl upgrades project. A pre-proposal conference scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 and proposals are due June 24. The architect for the remodel of room 19/270 for Foundation offices is planning to go out for bids by the end of June. Space assignment request is being prepared for the renewable energy project. BOND UPDATE
An agreement between the college and architect is expected to be completed this week for the building 2 remodel and Performance Hall elevator project. Bids for the Performance Hall replacement seats came in under budget and the lowest bid was the preferred seat. Work on the Center building re-roof project is expected to begin after spring term finals. Center building first floor classroom project demolition of existing rooms will be done by college workers starting June 15. Architects are continuing work on the Florence Center and the bond office has requested a conditional use permit from the city of Florence. Request For Proposals from landscape architects and/or architects in connection with design services for the Track & Soccer Bowl Upgrades project will be distributed early this week. Deadline for submittal of proposals is June 24. Design work is continuing for the remodel of building 19 room 270 for Foundation offices. A space assignment request is being prepared for two photo-voltaic arrays for the renewable energy project. The arrays are proposed to feed energy into the campus grid and electric car charging stations. A grant from EWEB will help fund this project. BOND UPDATE
The Owner-Architect Agreement for design of Building 2 & Performance Hall elevator remodels is expected to be completed this week and Project User Group (PUG) meetings will be scheduled for the following week. Bids to reroof the Center building were opened and the low bid was below estimate. A PUG will review the schematic drawing of remodel of building 19, room 270 to accommodate the Foundation. A PUG will review a schematic drawing of Center building first floor classroom this week. The Bond Management office is scheduled to begin preparing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for design services in connection with the Track & Soccer bowl improvements. A request for quotes from theater seat manufacturers has gone out and the deadline to receive quotes is Wednesday, June 3. Architectural work on the Florence Center is continuing.
