Computer Resources
Netbooks for select ALS writing students
Thanks to a grant from Lane Community College Foundation and a partnership with Lane's library and Instructional Technology departments, ALS has a limited number of netbook computers available to check out to students who do not have convenient access to a computer. Faculty refer students in need of the resource and students receive a "golden ticket" that they take to the library to get their netbook for the term.
Need help with computer skills for your writing assignments?
Most ALS reading and writing class require some or all assignments to be typed and printed out or submitted electronically. Students who need help learning computer skills can find resources through Tutoring Services, computer labs and the library. With remodel of the CENTER building, computer lab locations will be moving. Watch the Lane website and talk to your instructors to find the most up-to-date information. The new Tutor Center is opening in its new location in Fall 2015.
