EUGENE, Ore. — The popular Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program at Lane Community College kicks it up a notch on May 13 and14 with Food Scene Eugene to be held at Lane main campus in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19.
The event celebrates Eugene’s vibrant food and drink scene and will offer guests a culinary adventure focusing on how food and drink intersect with art, innovation and technology.
“Our mission is to connect the community to the local food and drink scene, Lane's future culinary and hospitality industry professionals, and educate them on innovative, creative, and new technology all related to food!” says Mat Kline, dean of Conference and Culinary Services at Lane.
Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management faculty and Center for Meeting and Learning staff designed the curriculum for students to be able to have a hands-on learning experience working with industry professionals such as chefs, restaurant owners, event planners, marketing and graphic designers, to gain valuable industry knowledge.
