LCC culinary and hospitality students offer a “Taste of Lane,” Feb. 11

EUGENE, Ore. - The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management students at Lane Community College invite the public to their winter “Taste of Lane” dinner in the newly remodeled Renaissance Room restaurant on Thursday, February 11 at 6 p.m.

The Renaissance Room is located on the first floor of the Center Building on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene. It was recently renovated as part of the bond approved by voters in 2008.

“This is an exciting opportunity for current students to showcase the best recipes from current and past faculty, staff and students while highlighting our skills in the brand-new Renaissance Room,” said Kristi Reeser, second-year student and co-chair of the student club sponsoring the event.

Crab cakes with tarragon remoulade, cacao spiced pork loin and a chocolate filbert torte highlight the evening’s menu. All of the foods presented are featured in the “Taste of Lane Cookbook,” which was published by the students in 2010. The cookbook may be purchased at the dinner for $10.

Prices for dinner are $25.00 per person. Seating is limited. Get tickets.
