EUGENE, Ore.—Lane Community College is offering a two-credit class winter term 2016 only, "Writing for Scholarships."
WR105 takes students through every step of the scholarship application process, including planning, writing and revising effective scholarship essays. Students will finish the 10-week course with complete and electronically delivered scholarship applications.
“This class is very important to the scholarship success of our students,” says advisor Jackie Bryson. “Last year a third of the class received scholarships.”
The class focuses on writing essays for Lane Foundation and Oregon Student Assistance Commission scholarship applications. After the class, students can sign up for an additional seminar, "Scholarship Advising: Free Weekly Workshop" to get further help completing and submitting scholarship applications.
Full details are available on the Scholarship Events page.
