CELDF co-founder Thomas Linzey to speak at LCC Downtown Center, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Peace Center is proud to join Community Rights Lane County to co-sponsor Thomas Linzey at the Lane Community College Downtown Campus on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 7-9 p.m.

Linzey is executive director of the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund . Forbes Magazine called Linzey one of the country's "top 10 revolutionaries." His work has been the catalyst for the resurgent people's democracy, community rights movement nationwide, and is being utilized by Community Rights Lane County in its effort to create a charter amendment to protect the right to a local food system. He has been a keynote speaker at both the Bioneers Conference and the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference. His work has been featured in the New York Times, Mother Jones, and The Nation.
