EUGENE, Ore. - Four positions on the Lane Community College Board of Education are up for election in the May 19 special election, including Zone 2, Zone 5, At Large Position 6, and At Large Position 7.
The Zone 2 position generally consists of the area from North Eugene to Harrisburg including Coburg, Junction City and Harrisburg.
The Zone 5 position is primarily downtown and south Eugene.
At Large positions represent the entire district.
Lane is the community's college, with an elected board that represents the needs of the district. Board members serve four-year terms. Candidates must live in the zone they run for except for the at large positions; however, all voters in the district vote on all positions.

Currently serving on the 2014-15 Lane Community College Board of Education are Sharon Stiles of Florence in the Zone 1 position; Robert Ackerman of Eugene in the Zone 2 position; Gary LeClair of Springfield in the Zone 3 position; Matt Keating of Eugene in the Zone 4 position; Pat Albright of Eugene in the Zone 5 position; Rosie Pryor of Eugene in the At Large Position 6; and Tony McCown of Eugene in At Large Position 7.
