EUGENE, Ore. – Student Productions Association of Lane Community College is seeking actors for an evening of original short plays.
Audition dates are December 1 and 2 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Blue Door Theatre on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene.
SPA will present five short plays written by current and former LCC students. The "Playwrights Showcase" will be directed and designed by students under the guidance of LCC theatre lead instructor Brian Haimbach. The plays are a mix of comedy and drama and require actors of every type. This is a great opportunity for actors who do not have the time to commit to a full rehearsal schedule. Rehearsals will be few in number and be scheduled based on actor availability.
Performance dates are February 12-15, 2015. Rehearsals begin January 5.
Parts are available for a combination of 12 to 15 men and women of varying ages and types. Actors do not have to prepare an audition monologue; we will do readings from the scripts. Arrive any time between 5:00-6:00 p.m.
