Tale of Two Palettes/Palates opens at LCC David Joyce Gallery Oct. 27; reception Nov. 5

image of sunflower with beesEUGENE, Ore. - The David Joyce Gallery at Lane Community College presents the first of three exhibits in a 2014/15 series titled, "The Tale of Two Palettes/Palates."

The first exhibit, "Labor of Love: An Exploration of the Work and Energy in Creating our Food" featuring work of Catia Juliana and David Putzier, opens Monday, Oct. 27. A reception for the artists will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 4:30-6 p.m. in the gallery.

About the gallery—

The David Joyce Gallery showcases art created by Northwest artists including adults, teachers, students, children and staff and carries on the tradition of the late David Joyce, artist and teacher. Sponsored by the Center for Meeting and Learning at Lane, the gallery specializes in work exhibiting the glory and wonder of food, growing plants, culinary arts, hospitality, food markets, travel, and the people who learn, work and live in these worlds. The gallery is located upstairs in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene. Hours are Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during special events.
