Eugene, Ore. – Student Productions Association of Lane Community College is seeking actor/singers for the musical "Constance and Sinestra and the Cabinet of Screams."
Audition dates are September 22 and October 1 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Blue Door Theatre on main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene.
SPA will present the Oregon premier of "Constance and Sinestra and the Cabinet of Screams," a gothic musical comedy set in Victorian London that tells the story of two sisters trying to cope with the loss of their mother, their mad father, and delightfully homicidal neighbors. This clever gothic chamber musical was a huge hit at the Edinburg Festival Fringe theatre festival.
Performance dates are November 13-23. Rehearsals will be held beginning October 8. The production will be directed by Michael Watkins.
Parts are available for a combination of seven men and women of varying ages and voice types. Female actors who play the cello or other musical instruments are encouraged to audition!! Community members are encouraged to audition. Actor/singers should prepare a short song and bring sheet music for accompaniment: no a capella auditions and no recorded accompaniment. Actor/singers will read from the script, no monologue necessary.
