Eugene, Ore. – Lyrical and poetic movement describes the pieces to be performed in the Works Student Dance Concert, taking place May 15, 16, and 17 at Lane Community College, in the Ragozzino Performance Hall at 7:30pm.
Students are selected through a rigorous audition process, a part of which requires them to complete a dance choreography series of classes. Featured in the concert will be solo pieces, duets and trios. Choreographers whose work will be featured are Katie Buchanan, Eviana Dan, Enissa Harris, Sarah Keller, Lacey Porter, Courtney Snow, Elana Sutton, and Traver Woodard.
A video clip of several of the performers in rehearsal can be found here.
Artistic Director and Lane Lead Dance Faculty Bonnie Simoa says "This is the highest level of dancing we have seen at LCC for a long time. I am so excited about this show!"
Tickets for the concert are $10 general admission, and $5 for students and seniors 55 and over. Advance tickets can be purchased at lanecc.edu/tickets. Tickets will also be on sale at the door.
