EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Symphonic Band will be in concert Thursday, March 13, at 7:30 pm in the Ragozzino Performance Hall on the LCC main campus. The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Paul Krueger, will perform the following works:
- Earthdance - Michael Sweeney
- Windjammer - Robert Buckley
- Shortcut Home - Dana Wilson
- Appalachian Morning - Robert Sheldon
Also, for the first time, several chamber ensembles will be performing with the Band.
The Lane Jazz Ensemble, also with several jazz combos, will take the stage Friday, March 14, at 7:30 pm. Under the direction of Paul Krueger, the Jazz Ensemble will perform:
- Oclupaca - comp. Duke Ellington/arr. Michael Philip Mossman
- Blues for Alfy - comp./arr. Bill Holman
- Big Dipper - comp./arr. Thad Jones
- Miss Missouri - comp./arr. Benny Carter
- Lili's Song - comp./arr. Paul White
Tickets for both concerts are available online at lanecc.edu/tickets or at the door. Ticket prices are $5 General Admission, $3 for students, staff and seniors. Concert proceeds support scholarships for Lane music students.
