Chris Hanneson, a corporal in the Public Safety Department at Lane Community College, has completed certified Technical Emergency Response Training for CBRNE Incidents through the Center for Domestic Preparedness operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
CBRNE training covers emergency response for chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive incidents.
"This rigorous training helps prepare Lane and the community in the event of emergency," said LCC Public Safety Chief Jace Smith. "We're very proud of Corporal Hanneson and we admire his level of commitment to safety on campus and beyond."
Hanneson is a graduate of Churchill High School and the criminal justice program at Lane. He served in the U.S. Navy and worked with police departments in Port Orford, Philomath and Coburg, Oregon, before joining Lane Public Safety in 2009.
