Deborah Taube, "Scale and Perception" Opens November 18

show announcement for Deborah Taube, Scale and Perception ExhibitionEUGENE, ORE. – The Lane Community College Art Gallery is proud to present the exhibition, "Scale and Perception' by Eugene Artist, Deborah Taube.

Deborah Taube has been a practicing Artist and Jewelry Designer for the past 40 years. Discovering new mediums and exploration of scale has been the driving force in Deborah's most recent body of work.

She states, but this exhibit is not intended to be about me – it is intended to be about you personal response to scale and how you react physically and emotion to works of different sizes. We look at 3-dimensional form, but often ignore the sometimes-subtle emotional and physical response we experience. These responses are part of the hidden life of the piece of art that you create by your own personal connection. That piece is now experienced a unique and singular way. This is your personal creative bond with individual art works.

The show runs from November 18 through December 12. There will be an artist talk and reception on Monday, November 25 at 9:00 am. The gallery is located in building 11 on the main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue. There is no charge for admission. The Art and Applied Design Department phone number is 541-463-5409.
