EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Community College Small Business Development Center (Lane SBDC) is hosting a series of workshops with Bruce Baker, nationally known marketing and retail consultant. Thousands of entrepreneurs have participated in Bruce's workshops and report as much as 20-30 % sales increase, when implementing his techniques. Registration is still open for the two-day event on Wednesday and Thursday, October 23 and 24, at the LCC Downtown Campus, located at 101 West 10th Avenue, Room 319, in Eugene.
The series of four workshops will provide tools for arts, crafts, and retail people to put new life into their businesses, through increased sales. Bruce has a special talent for making his workshops relevant to the audience's needs. He will speak on a variety of direct marketing topics, which include growing sales at markets, creating sexy store fronts, maximizing merchandising, and hot consumer buying trends. Bruce has lead over 600 workshops throughout the United States and Canada in the last twenty years. He is on faculty at the Arts Business Institute and his writings appear in major visual-arts trade publications. The cost is $10 per two-hour workshop.
