Audition Workshop – Get the part!
Saturday, October 12 from 12:00-1:00pm
Ragozzino Performance Hall on LCC's main campus.
All levels and abilities welcome. Ages 14 and up
This is a confidence building, sharpening your abilities, and fun approach to putting your best performance forward at auditions. Get specific.. Pin down the first moment. Make on-the-spot adjustments. Eliminate fear and doubt. Nail the audition! This class will go through all the steps from identifying your strengths, selecting monologues, picking warm-ups, blocking, and up through the final thank you. If you plan to bring a monologue that you are working on, please bring a printed copy.
Original Works Workshop – Create a performance from Scratch!

All levels and abilities welcome. Ages 14 and up.
This is a performing, writing, and ensemble generating workshop. Scenes, improvisations, and monologues will be created around subjects that are important to the people in the room. Common themes and questions will be the foundation for our exploration through performance. Please bring a writing implement and a notebook.
Both workshops will be taught by LCC Theatre's Guest Artist Willow Norton. Ms. Norton is directing LCC's Student Productions Association's production of "In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play" by Sarah Ruhl, which runs November 13-23 in LCC's Blue Door Theatre. She is a Director and Teacher focused on new work development. Ms. Norton is a 2012 Lincoln Center Theatre Director's Lab West Alumni. Her recent directing projects include; ¡Bocón!, RENT and A Thousand Cranes for The Majestic Theatre (OR); S.H.A.V..E.D. at HERE Arts Center (NY) and The Philly Fringe (PA); Instructions Included for The Midtown International Festival (NY); REACH for At Hand Theatre Company (NY); School House Rock for ACE Academy (OR); In the Way for Philadelphia Young Playwrights (PA); and POP in the Night for At Hand Theatre Company (NY).
Assistant Directing credits include: THE UNDERSTUDY by Theresa Rebeck at The Wilma Theater in Philadelphia; Continuous City for The Builders Association at The Kitchen & St. Ann's Warehouse (NY); Dreams of Friendly Aliens for Abingdon Theatre Company (NY); The Man at the Sea for Emerging Arts Theater Company (NY); and Henry V for Cornish College of the Arts (WA). She received her BFA in Theater; Original Works from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. She currently resides in New York with her husband and works for The Shubert Organization.
Registration is not required, but is preferred.
