EUGENE, Ore.– Lane County Public Works is making repairs on 30th Avenue and McVay Highway this week, affecting Lane Community College main campus.
LTD has temporarily relocated its bus stop to the east side of campus, in parking lot M just east of Building 12 (Manufacturing/Auto Body/Construction), while repairs are made to the Gonyea Road access and egress ramps. The LTD bus stop will return to its usual location on the west side of campus in parking lot B as soon as ramp repairs are completed, scheduled for Thursday, July 19.
Commuters are urged to use extra caution during the road construction.
The full schedule for the 30th Avenue road repairs from Lane County Public Works is:
- Monday, July 15 – Repave 30th Avenue Gonyea Road Westbound On-Ramp (CNE) and Gonyea Road Westbound Off-Ramp (CNW). The ramps will be closed during paving. Motorists needing to access the Lane Community College campus (LCC) should use Eldon Schafer Drive.
- Tuesday, July 16 – Repave 30th Avenue Spring Boulevard Westbound Off-Ramp (SNE) and Spring Boulevard Eastbound On-Ramp (SSE). The ramps will be closed during paving. Motorist should use Agate Street as an alternate route.
- Wednesday, July 17 – Repave 30th Avenue Gonyea Road Eastbound Off-Ramp (CSW). Eastbound motorists needing to access the Lane Community College campus (LCC) should use Eldon Schafer Drive. Also repave the 30th Avenue center left turn lane between McVay Hwy. and Eldon Schafer Drive. Motorists needing to access the Lane Community College campus (LCC) should use Gonyea Road exits off 30th Avenue. The two work areas will not be paved simultaneously and motorists will have access to LCC either via Eldon Schafer Drive or the Gonyea Road exits.
- Thursday, July 18 – Repave the westbound right (slow) lane between McVay Hwy and Spring Boulevard. Gonyea Road Gonyea Road Westbound On-Ramp (CNE), Gonyea Road Westbound Off-Ramp (CNW) and Spring Boulevard Westbound Off-Ramp (SNE) ramps will be closed. Westbound motorists needing to access the Lane Community College campus (LCC) should use Eldon Schafer Drive. Westbound motorists should use Agate Street as an alternate route to Spring Boulevard.
- Friday, July 19 – no work scheduled
