LCC graduation June 15

EUGENE, OR - Lane Community College will hold its 48th commencement on Saturday, June 15 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Lane County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall.

Graduates line up at 3 p.m. in the Performance Hall. The Exhibit Hall opens to guests and the public at 3:30 p.m.

The opening processional will be followed by welcoming remarks from President Mary Spilde, Board of Education Chair Sharon Stiles, Associated Students of Lane Community College President Merriam Weatherhead, and Faculty Representative Karen Brown.

President Spilde will present awards to Lane's All Oregon Academic Team Award winners, students Kaitlyn Worman and Tracy Weimer.

Student Eric Hertel will give the keynote addresses.

The presentation of degrees and certificates will conclude the ceremonies.

This year, Lane will award about 1,600 degrees and certificates. About 500 people are expected to walk in the commencement ceremony.
