EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College Chamber, Concert and Gospel choirs will be in concert on Thursday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ragozzino Performance Hall on the LCC main campus.
The Chamber Choir will sing a set entitled "Songs of the Sea." The set includes choral gems by Elgar and Barnaby, a traditional Haitian piece with percussion, and a rousing version of "Drunken Sailor."
The Concert Choir will present "From Beatles to Queen." Beatles songs include "Yesterday," "Strawberry Fields," and "Here Comes the Sun," among others, and will end with "Bohemian Rhapsody."
The Lane Gospel Choir will perform with guest artist Yvonne Stubbs who will help close the program with "Catch the Spirit." Stubbs is a former long time member of the Eugene-based community gospel choir "Inspirational Sounds." Also featured are contemporary arrangements of the spirituals "Standing in the Need of Prayer" and "People Get Ready."
Ticket prices are $5 general admission and $3 for students and seniors 55 and over.
