EUGENE, OR - The Lane Community College jazz faculty will present a concert of new compositions and arrangements entitled "New Works & New Takes."
The concert is Tuesday, February 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ragozzino Performance Hall, building 6, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene. Tickets are $10 general admission, and $8 for all students and seniors 55 and over. Tickets are available online at www.lanecc.edu/tickets or at the door the night of the concert.
"New Works and New Takes" is an outgrowth of lead jazz faculty member Ron Bertucci's fall term sabbatical, when he traveled around the country studying jazz composition. Bertucci, a trombonist, will be accompanied by faculty members Dave Bender on trumpet, Matthew Svoboda on piano, Olem Alves on guitar, Nate Waddell on bass, and Randy Rollofson on drums.
Proceeds of the concert will help fund scholarships for music students at LCC.
