EUGENE, Ore.– The Lane Community College Native American Student Association invites the public to its annual powwow on Saturday, December 1, in the gymnasium, building 5, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene. Grand entries are at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Lane's annual powwow is one of the largest in the Northwest. The event has facilitated an increase in Native American students attending Lane. In 1991, Lane identified 50 Native American students attending class; today, more then 650 students self-identify as Native American.
This powwow is a free event. All drums and dancers are welcome. No alcohol or drugs are permitted.
