LCC end-of-term concerts set for Nov. 20, 29 and 30

EUGENE, Ore.—The Lane Community College division of Music, Dance and Theater Arts presents end-of-term concerts:

November 20, 7:30 p.m.  - The Lane Symphonic Band, under the direction of Douglas Doerfert will perform a program including pieces by Camille Saint-Saëns and Johannes Brahms. The Symphonic Band will be joined on the program by the Roosevelt Middle School 8th Grade Band under the direction of Karen Doerfert.

Nov. 29, 7:30 p.m. – The Lane Choirs will present a program of spirited songs for the holiday season. Performing will be the Lane Chamber Choir under the direction of Matthew Svoboda; the Lane Concert Choir under the direction of Debi Noel, and the Lane Gospel Choir under the direction of Vicki Brabham.

Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m. – The Lane Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Joe Ingram, and Spectrum Vocal Jazz under the direction of Vicki Brabham, will share a program of swinging jazz tunes. You have heard some of these talented players at the Jazz Station, now you can hear the entire ensemble in the comfort of the Ragozzino Performance Hall.

All performances are at the Ragozzino Performance Hall, building 6, Lane Community College main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue in Eugene. Tickets for all shows are $5 for general admission, $3 for students and seniors and are available at the door. Concert proceeds help fund music scholarships for deserving students.
