Eugene, OR - The Lane Community College Non-Profit Management Institute strives to improve nonprofit governance, management skills; and build successful sustainable operations. The Institute is offering, newly revised, programs for new or early-staged nonprofits and advanced organizations. The Non-Profit Business Management and the Advanced Non-Profit Business Management programs are nine-month, professional development programs; designed for nonprofit managers, directors, key staff and volunteers. These programs improve governance and management skills; ensure the successful sustainable operation of an organization; and prepares staff for advancement. The Non-profit Business Management programs include peer networking, 10 hours of one-on-one advising, access to extensive online resources, and experienced professionals as guest speakers.
The Non-Profit Business Management program is designed for organizations recently formed or for those operating less than five years. It is also suitable for board members and others new to nonprofits. The curriculum covers critical aspects of nonprofit operations and provides participants with the tools and skills needed to survive and succeed in today's economic climate. The Advanced Non-Profit Business Management program is for the directors and staff of established nonprofits. The emphasis is on advanced governance and policy development, volunteer program development, program and service assessment, sustainable funding, donor development, grant writing, marketing, branding, and strategic planning. As an added benefit, the information is customized each year to meet the specific needs of participants.
