Senior Companion Program at Lane Community College

Recruiting Senior Companions

EUGENE, OR - Earn a bit of cash while helping others! The federal Senior Companion Program provides a tax-free hourly stipend of $2.65 to volunteers who make weekly friendly visits to frail elders and adults living with disabilities. To volunteer, you must be age 55 or better, meet low income guidelines, and be able and willing to work 15 or more hours weekly. Comprehensive pre-service training will be held very soon for qualifying adults who pass criminal background checks. Clients are chosen by participating area agencies throughout Lane County. Ongoing support provided. Sponsored locally for almost 40 years by Lane Community College.
