With support from Exhibit Designer Susan Detroy, the David Joyce Gallery focuses its exhibits on broad, unique themes which reflect upon the subjects of culinary and hospitality - themes that celebrate the glory of food and farms, the art of service, travel and tourism, and the people that bring these subjects to life. Green, Green the Color of New is a study in Color Theory in a variety of mediums. From oil on wood paintings expressing the relationship of green landscapes to time and perception to specific photographic images of green farmlands and foods, the Green artists invite you to experience this dynamic color with their creative, visual interpretations.

The Gallery is also showcasing eclectic, photographic cutout fragments of artist David Joyce to whom the Gallery is named. David was an art instructor at Lane for 25 years and most known in the community for his monumental flying people mural "Flight Patterns" at the Eugene Airport, which was recently re-touched. A variety of David's art will be shown with each Gallery exhibit this year.

Green, Green the Color of New runs from Monday, April 2 – Monday, August 27, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. All art is for sale with 25% of the proceeds supporting the David Joyce Gallery. An Artists Reception will be held Thursday, May 24 from 4:30pm-6:00pm with hors d'oeuvres and refreshments prepared and served by the students in the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program.
