EUGENE, OR – An artists' reception for "Red, Red the Color of Warm" will be held Thursday, March 1 from 4:30-6 p.m. in the David Joyce Gallery, Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, second floor, Lane Community College main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and refreshments by Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program students will be provided.
"Red, Red the Color of Warm" runs through March 22 and features nine Oregon artists in a variety of mediums. Artists present stunning imagery of flowers, foods, and environments – both urban and natural. A study in color theory, red was chosen to inspire the artist to look beyond the obvious and share a colorful illumination during the dreary, grey winter months. Exhibitors include Laura Jaszkowski, LaVonne Tarbox-Crone, Roka Walsh, Renee L. Nelson, Dan Welton, Pamela Summer-Joy Blackhorse, Ellen Hamill, Jack Larson, and Jim Bailey.
The gallery also is showcasing eclectic, photographic cutout fragments of artist David Joyce for whom the gallery is named.
