The Lane Community College Dance Program will present the 2012 edition of Collaborations on Thursday, Feb. 23, Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:30pm in the Ragozzino Performance Hall on the LCC main campus.
Tickets are $10 General Admission and can be purchased online at www.lanecc.edu/tickets or at the door.
The annual Collaborations dance concert is one of the most widely anticipated dance events of the year. Proceeds from the concert support student scholarships.

1 "Profit/Loss"
Choreographer: Cynthia Gutierrez-Garner
Description: Profit/Loss is a modern group piece for six dancers that explores the relationship between the buyer and seller in the world of retail. It exposes factual sales techniques and pokes fun at the desires, manipulations and absurdities that we all succumb to.
2. "Country Girls"
Choreographers: Anita Sanford
Description: This high energy piece to Luke Bryan's "Country Girl (Shake it for Me)" brings Lane dancers together with Anita Sanford's Dance Northwest performing a mix of styles from jazz to country swing.

3. "Whipstitch"
Choreographer: Sarah M. Nemecek
Description: A sextet set on dancers of the Lane Dance Company. This movement piece is set to the music of Zoe Keating.

4. "Surf Bomb"
Choreographer: Bonnie Simoa with creative contributions from the dancers
Description: "Surf Bomb" is a wild and zany tribute to the 60's where California laid back surf culture meets explosive go-go dancing. The Lane Dance Company dancers splash, dive and roll to early surf music artist by The Ventures, The Denvermen, and The Gamblers.

5. "Pomegranate Seeds"
Choreographer: Margo Van Ummersen
Description: A new work choreographed by Margo Van Ummersen in collaboration with her cast of 6 LCC dancers explores dynamic movement to the music of Zap Mama. Dancers move in and out of spatial rhythm with contemporary choreography, improvisation and partnering.
