Hospitality students at the 2011 Harvest Dinner

EUGENE, OR – The 2012 Winter Classical Cuisine Dinner hosted by the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management program at Lane Community College will be held Thursday, March 1, from 5-9 p.m. in the Center for Meeting and Learning, Building 19, main campus, 4000 E. 30th Avenue, Eugene.

Themed "Hadshi Bneen: A Moroccan Feast for the Senses," the dinner will feature the foods and flavors of Morocco plus music, entertainment and special decorations. "Hadshi bneen" means "this is delicious."

Culinary students plan a multi-course dinner using traditional spices and cooking methods. Student Chef Aaron Day and student Sous Chef Christopher Mosher will be in charge of the kitchen and say the students are excited to work with Moroccan cuisine.

Students Shandelah Wilson and Cheryl Joy are the co-managers of the 19 hospitality students who will serve the dinner. In traditional Moroccan style, they plan to begin with a mint tea service.

Tickets are $35 per person or you $250 for a table of 8. Reservations should be made online. Special dietary needs can be accommodated upon reserving tickets.
