League Conferences

Each year the League coordinates two important national conferences which have content approriate for everyone associated with community colleges at all levels including classified staff, manageers and faculty memebers. The conferences are STEMTech which is held every fall and Innovations which is held every spring.

The STEMTech conference is an international convening that emphasizes increasing student success in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) at all levels. Close to 500 sessions focus on improving STEM education, better aligning educational systems with each other and local workforce needs, and exploring technology's role in the teaching and learning processes.  Community College faculty members, administrators, government officials, community and business/industry representatives, and others involved in STEM education and information technology are invited to explore research, best practices, and other ideas with their colleagues from across the country and around the world.

The Innovations conference's aim is to inspire innovation and change in all areas of community college education. Conference sessions encourage and facilitate student and organizational learning through innovation, experimentation, and institutional transformation.

Lane faculty and staff are encouraged to attend these conferences. Faculty may be eligible for funds to attend as a presenter or an attendee. Details are available at the Faculty Professional Development website.
